Philippine president's two dinners with US president Barack Obama made a very big issue that went skyrocketing and remains hot on news for weeks. As Philippine media sources flagged the issue, protesters and oppositions dug down and made everything complicated and made Filipinos mad for the President. Dinner with fellow politicians is already anticipated but the main issue is about the money that the president spent during the dinner. The president claimed that they were only invited for the dinner and spent nothing, the payment for the dinner was hosted by the other side so no issues must be made.
But as the president came back, issues came out that they hosted the dinner that cost $15,000 and $20,000 that's almost 1.72 million in Philippine peso value.
Other politicians complained about the expenses for the reason that many Filipinos can barely eat once a day and yet the president is spending too much just to show off and impress another president and not even showing a care for the fellow countrymen.
Since then, more investigations are conducted and are about to be conducted from the plane tickets, accomodations, and other expenses made on the presidents trip. Some issues also came out connected to this like, they only made the issue so that people will hate the president and will stop her for running another term.
Is this how Philippine president waste money for their own benefit and not even showing care for the fellow countrymen?
